The Whispering Angels fragrance for a cause line was created
in 2001 shortly after owner Tina Shobe’s mother, Marion
Baronich, was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer. What started off
as a small mission has turned into a big passion. In late-2002,
Alyssa’s Soap Cottage partnered with the National Ovarian
Cancer Coalition to help expand awareness and education campaigns
and to support new projects. In early 2003, Tina lost her Mother
to Ovarian Cancer. Since then, she has slowly expanded the Whispering
Angels line and included Gifts for a Cause. Teal We Meet Again
is being launched to bring even more Gifts for a Cause, including
a brand new Whispering Angels ornament.
In 2004, Alyssa’s Soap Cottage and Teal
We Meet Again partnered with the Gilda Radner Familial Ovarian
Cancer Registry. How? By donating a portion of the proceeds from
the sales of new Gifts for a Cause.
Teal We Meet Again will donate 100% of the proceeds of Whispering
Angels soaps and 50% of the proceeds of all other Whispering Angels products to the
New York Division of the National Ovarian Cancer
Coalition; 50% of the proceeds of
Whispering Angels ornaments
to the DFW Division of the National Ovarian Cancer
Coalition; and 10% of proceeds of all other Gifts for a
Cause will benefit the
Gilda Radner Familial Ovarian Cancer Registry.
All donations are made in memory of Marion Baronich and in honor
of Dr. M. Steven Piver.
